In certain cases dental implants are available on the NHS but due to the price of the procedure, requiring a surgically sterile environment and of course the relatively expensive pure titanium substitute root, they are normally only done privately. In cases where dentures are not possible due to disability or when there has been mouth trauma caused by disease or impact, dental implants can be available on the NHS.
